West Somerset Railway Heritage Trust WSRHT

The Trust has commissioned Isle Joinery Ltd., Taunton to fabricate a new frame for Gauge Museum Roll of Honour. It is being fabricated from utile hardwood, of the mahogany family; a young craftsman has done the work on it. The attached photos show how far Isle Joinery have got. The Roll of Honour shows the names of members of the staff of the Great Western Railway Company who lost their lives in the First World War. Many of the men were called upon to participate in some of the fiercest fighting of the campaign. The completed frame and Roll of Honour are to be displayed in the Gauge Museum once the museum refurbishment is complete.
