Gauge Museum Blue Anchor
After a period of closure for extensive restoration the WSR Heritage Trust’s Museum at Blue Anchor reopened its doors on in April 2025. The Trust would like to gracefully acknowledge the volunteers who worked to make this happen.
Open on all running days of the railway, visitors can appreciate the history and traditions of the railway. Display panels together with an interactive TV and a Punch & Judy show provide insight into the impact railways have and continue to have on the local and national economies.
Visit the Museum on the down platform at West Somerset Railway’s Blue Anchor Station TA24 6LG.
The Museum has step-free access via the platforms, which are accessible by ramps and a booking office selling the full range of tickets for the railway. Toilets are available on the station but there are currently no disabled toilet facilities. Refreshments are also available from the booking office.
The museum is financed by donations from visitors and admission is free.
